While Sport Huancayo is going through a moment of uncertainty and inactivity in the local tournament - despite having won by 'walkover' against Cusco FC, they still don't have continuity - the days go by and their match against Nacional de Asunción in the first phase of the 2023 Copa Libertadores is getting closer. If that were not enough, the Paraguayan team already arrived in Lima on Sunday, February 5th, and is focused on the match this Tuesday, the 7th.
With their complete delegation, Pedro Sarabia's players arrived at Jorge Chavez airport and then went to their concentration hotel, where they will stay until they have to travel to Junin. As far as is known, they will arrive in Huancayo on the same day of the match, which is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Nacional de Asunción was supposed to play against Olimpia on Sunday for the Paraguayan championship, but they decided to postpone the match to avoid logistical problems with their trip to Lima, in addition to arriving well-rested for the match against 'Rojo Matador'. Sport Huancayo is already thinking about Nacional de Asunción
After the 'walkover' victory over Cusco FC, Huancayo turned the page and focused on their match this Tuesday against Nacional. Mifflin Bermúdez, the team's coach, spoke with 'Liga 1 MAX' and referred to this difficult international commitment, for which they will arrive without having played a single official match.
“These are situations that we have to experience and accept (referring to the victory over Cusco FC). Anyway, we have to continue with the planning we have set for ourselves. There is nothing else to say. What concerns us, we have presented ourselves well. We have to think about what we are going to do on Tuesday. It is going to be a difficult match, we hope to arrive in optimal conditions,” the coach said.
