The 'cafeteros', who played a large part of the match with the advantage thanks to Davinson Sánchez's goal, took to the field in the United States with the aim of increasing their lead to better control the game. So, without any response in front of goal, the Argentine coach made changes in the substitutes' bench.

With 15 minutes left in the match, Colombia's coach called on Falcao García to get more minutes in the new cycle (he played 45' against Mexico and Guatemala in September). In this way, the '9' replaced Rafael Santos Borré and in a short period of time, he had better luck when finishing.

When the match resumed, Jhon Durán, another substitute, went up the wing and before losing control, he combined through the center with James Rodríguez. The Colombian number 10, who started on the bench, waited a few seconds to stretch the play again on the wing.

Daniel Muñoz, the Colombian full-back, reached that position on the field. Right away, the defender sent the ball towards the back post. Then, Radamel Falcao headed it in to beat goalkeeper Antony Silva in the final stages of the friendly match with an eye on the road to the 2026 World Cup.
