The atmosphere remains heated on and off the court. This time, it happened at Arena Astros after the Jalisco team defeated Mineros 118-93, a game that tied the series at three wins each in the northern zone final of the National Professional Basketball League.
At the end of the game, a group of Astros fans mocked some Mineros players, leading to a verbal confrontation. The player Jordan Williams punched one of the Guadalajara fans, and another player threw a bottle at the group of supporters who were separated by private security.
Even Alonso Izaguirre, Commissioner of the LNBP, had to intervene to remove the enraged Mineros players. Later on, members of the Mineros staff continued the argument until tensions subsided.

The zone final between Jalisco and Zacatecas has had episodes of violence, as during Game 5 at the Profesor Marcelino González Gymnasium, there was a confrontation between management and staff, which resulted in insults and threats to Astros players during and after the game where they did not respond to the attacks; the National Guard had to intervene, escorting the team from the stadium to the hotel and from the hotel to Guadalajara.
For this Game 6, security was increased at Arena Astros, however, violence resurfaced, this time from a player.
On Thursday, Game 7 will be played, and the winner will advance to the LNBP Grand Final to face Abejas de León.
