Two consecutive triples from Omar de Haro in overtime seal Fuerza Regia's defeat against Santos del Potosí
In a match held at Nuevo León Unido Gym in the National Professional Basketball League (LNBP), Fuerza Regia was defeated by Santos del Potosí with a score of 87-79.
Monterrey lost their second game at home in the 2023 season of the League, bringing their record to 15 wins and 6 losses, but remaining in the top three positions of the overall standings.
On the other hand, Santos achieved their 13th victory and kept their number of defeats at 8.
The game was closely contested between the two teams, and although Fuerza Regia was 11 points ahead on the scoreboard, Santos came from behind with their bench players, eventually ending the regulation time in a tie and forcing overtime.
Omar de Haro was lethal with his two triples, scoring 9 of his 13 points in overtime, which helped Santos in their quest for victory. Josué Erazo was key in both offense and defense for the Potosí team. Meanwhile, Rakeem Christmas scored 17 points and Tjader Fernández had 14.
Monterrey had their point guard Paul Stoll as their top scorer with 15 points, followed by Daniel Bejarano and Jordan Glynn with 13 points each, and Shonn Miller, who returned to the games after an injury, with 11 points.
