A new day of the International Surfing Association (ISA) World Surfing Games 2022 towards the Paris 2024 Olympic Games has begun. And in the midst of this competition, the participation of our compatriot Daniella Rosas stood out: she scored 8.77 points, which became the second highest score for a single wave in the women's competition (so far).
The news was shared through the official Olympics account, which uploaded the video of the national surfer's participation, who dazzled with maneuvers on a wave. Instantly, users downloaded the clip to share it on different social media platforms and congratulated the compatriot.
"Well done Daniella, keep it up", "Congratulations for bringing joy to the country", "You are a great athlete and you have always shown it", "Go get the ticket to Paris", "We will always support you" or "You have the support of all Peruvians", were some of the comments from internet users.
It is important to mention that the ISA competitions are used to accumulate points for the Olympic qualification. In this sense, Daniella Rosas has started off on the right foot and will fight to secure the coveted spot.
Always at the top
What a memory for Peruvian surfing. In April of this year, Daniella Rosas was crowned champion at the QS Rip Curl Pro Playa Grande, which took place in Mar del Plata. In this way, the Peruvian surfer positioned herself in the regional ranking of the 2022/2023 WSL Latin America season.
The Peruvian athlete achieved the highest score in the women's competition. She scored a total of 17.10 points, which came from two waves, 8.60 and 8.50.
