The legendary voice of WWE, Gene Okerlund, posted a message on his official Facebook page to debunk all kinds of rumors.
Bobby Heenan is very much alive. I will be seeing him and his wife in a couple of weeks. Heenan is a man that fans love to hate and that's a good thing.
Heenan is currently 71 years old and is mostly recognized as a manager, having managed over thirty wrestlers in his career, including several WWE Hall of Famers and some current talents like CM Punk on the independent scene.

Heenan was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2002 and underwent reconstructive surgery in 2007. He enjoys interacting with fans at autograph signings and at some legends events.
Considering Gene Okerlund's words, we still have to consider that Heenan has been in a coma and his recovery has been too slow.
