How is Avaí FC performing in the Brasileirao?

The Lion of the Island has had an inconsistent performance in the current edition of the Brazilian tournament. After 17 matchdays, they are in 12th place with 21 points, obtained from six victories, three draws, and eight defeats.

Despite this, they are in the position that grants the last spot for the Copa Sudamericana, so they are fighting to secure the ticket or even qualify for the Copa Libertadores.
