Charlotte easily defeated Brie Bella to retain the Divas Championship at WWE Fastlane 2016 in a match that represented a step back in the Divas revolution.

Brie Bella came out asking for the "Yes Yes Yes" chant from the crowd, which they may have given her for the last time. The match started with serious mistakes from Brie Bella. The match continued to unfold, exposing Brie Bella as an improvised challenger who doesn't possess the level of the recent Divas matches. Although Bella's tremendous effort to excel can't be denied, not even with Charlotte's talent was she able to have a passable match.

In the final moments of the match, Brie entered what is called "BRIEMODE," punished Charlotte with her husband's traditional kicks, and made some poorly executed flights. Brie applied the Yes Lock and then a half crab in chaotic seconds where it seemed like the Divas match at WrestleMania could go down the drain. Fortunately, Charlotte managed to apply the Figure 8 and secure the victory.
Brie Bella is nothing like Daniel Bryan, not even Nikki Bella.
