Alliance Lima, Universitario, and Cienciano have become the main opponents of the decisions that have been made in the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), with Agustin Lozano at the helm. For example, this Saturday, the mentioned clubs issued a statement criticizing the diligence carried out in the failed renewal of Ricardo Gareca in charge of the Peruvian National Team
"The terrible management of the FPF in the negotiation with coach Ricardo Gareca has shamefully exposed our football institution at a national and international level," began the joint document published by the three teams in the Liga 1.
"In addition, the non-qualification for the 2022 Qatar World Cup has brought to light, to public opinion, the poor organization of the championships and the lack of transparency in the handling of money that belongs to professional football clubs," the statement adds.
Furthermore, Alliance Lima, Universitario, and Cienciano highlighted that the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) has not yet responded to the request for expense reports related to the trip to Qatar, made for the World Cup play-offs.
On the other hand, the sports entities also acknowledged the positive result of 'Tigre' at the helm of the Peruvian National Team: "We thank coach Ricardo Gareca for the achievements and his commitment to the development of our football, an aspiration that drives us to continue fighting against the informality and illegality of the board led by Agustin Lozano," added the statement.
Finally, Alliance Lima, Universitario, and Cienciano expressed concern about the future. "It is our responsibility to warn about the serious risk that our football faces due to the FPF, whose lack of planning has plunged us into an uncertain landscape. Today we are left without a top-level coach for the national team, but for a long time national football has suffered due to the lack of vision and leadership of a management incapable of making the great changes we need to grow as a football society," they concluded.
