Alliance Lima, Universitario and Cienciano have become the main opponents of the decisions that have been made in the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), which is chaired by Agustín Lozano. This Saturday, the mentioned clubs issued a statement criticizing the diligence carried out in the failed renewal of Ricardo Gareca as the head of the 'Blanquirroja'.
"The terrible management of the FPF in the negotiation with the coach Ricardo Gareca has shamefully exposed, nationally and internationally, the institution that governs our football", the joint statement published by the three teams of Liga 1 began.
"In addition, the non-qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup has exposed, to public opinion, the poor organization of the championships and the non-transparent management that the FPF makes of the money that is the heritage of the professional football clubs", the notification adds.
In addition, Alliance Lima, Universitario and Cienciano highlighted that the Peruvian Football Federation has not yet responded to the request for expense accountability for the trip to Qatar, which was carried out for the World Cup play-off.
On the other hand, the sports entities also recognized the positive result of the 'Tigre' at the helm of the Peruvian national team: "We thank Professor Ricardo Gareca for the achievements and for his commitment to the development of our football, an aspiration that drives us to continue fighting against the informality and illegality of the board led by Agustín Lozano".
Finally, Alliance Lima, Universitario and Cienciano expressed concern about the future."It is our responsibility to warn about the serious risk that our football is facing because of the FPF, whose lack of planning has plunged us into an uncertain panorama. Today, we are left without a first-rate coach for the national team, but for a long time, national football has suffered due to a management without vision or leadership, incapable of carrying out the great changes we need to grow as a football society", they concluded.
