No it's not to their liking. Everything indicates that Carlos Compagnucci will return to take the helm of Universitario and take charge of the team during the Torneo Clausura. Although his arrival at the merengue shop has not yet been officially announced, journalist Elejalder Godos expressed his disagreement with the possible hiring of the Argentine.
The journalist recalled what happened in 2005 when the coach led the student team and emphasized that he didn't have much relevance in the clubs he commanded afterwards.
"Compagnucci failed at 'U' in 2005. He went through life without good results. For him, today as an assistant he returns to the first team of Universitario. Maybe he can become champion, that's not the issue," he stated on his social media.

He also considered it a mistake - especially an administrative one - that 'Coco' Araujo does not continue to hold the reins of the team in search of the long-awaited 27th star. "Araujo (Jorge) should have continued: saving money in an institution that is almost bankrupt," he added.
How did Carlos Compagnucci do during his first stint at Universitario?
Just like 17 years ago, Compagnucci will take charge of the cream team in the second tournament of the season. In 2005, he played 14 matches with a record of eight wins, four draws, and two defeats.
After his time with the Ate club, the coach took over the reins of Guaraní in Paraguay; however, he did not achieve the expected results and in the following years he worked as an assistant coach for teams such as Colo Colo, Estudiantes La Plata, Independiente, and Deportivo Alavés.
