Peru is eliminated by Australia and is out of the Qatar 2022 World Cup
Despite this bitter result, the work done so far by the Peruvian national team coach, Ricardo Gareca, has been valued by the fans, who have expressed their support and affection on more than one occasion. This has not only been perceived by the media, but also by one of the most important people for the Argentine strategist.
Gladys Hartintegui supports Ricardo Gareca
Gladys Hartintegui, the wife of the 'Tigre', came to Qatar to cheer on the 64-year-old coach and his team. Prior to the decisive match, Hartintegui expressed her desire for the Argentine coach to continue leading the Blanquirroja; however, she clarified that the final decision is up to him and his coaching staff.
“Yes, it's a very nice job and he is the one who has to decide, along with his coaching staff, I can't decide for him (...) Yes, I would like him to stay, of course, it's killing me now,” said the wife of the former player jokingly to the cameras of América Deportes.
