Curious invitation. After FIFA dismissed Chile's claim regarding the Byron Castillo case and left La Roja without a chance to reach the World Cup, a CNN journalist took to the streets to gather some opinions on the matter; however, he did not expect to encounter an Ecuadorian fan.

Upon entering the market, the reporter noticed that the vendor was wearing the Barcelona SC jersey —the club where Byron Castillo played— and immediately approached him to hear his thoughts.

"Obviously, happy. We knew we were going to the World Cup. We won on the field. We won on the field and Chile knew a long time ago that they were lost. The thing is that Chile tried to get in by force, but they couldn't, the plane ran out of fuel," he stated during the live broadcast.

YOU CAN SEE: Chile will not be present in Qatar, but some Chilean players did qualify for the World Cup.

Upon hearing these words, the reporter emphasized that they (Chile) were saddened by what happened. This statement prompted the Ecuadorian to make a 'cruel' response.

Lazy loaded component

"Hey, do you know what I can do? I can invite you to my house to watch the game, all comfy and seated (...). The most important thing for us is that we made it to the World Cup; the Chileans couldn't sneak in. I am grateful that I am in Chile, but they couldn't..."

It is worth mentioning that the leaders of the Chilean National Professional Football Association (ANFP) mentioned that they will appeal FIFA's decision. Even the president of this institution, Pablo Millad, emphasized that they will go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) if necessary.
