IPD awarded the sports laurels to 10 Peruvian representatives.

During a ceremony, the IPD decided to recognize the athletes and para-athletes who achieved victories representing Peru.

National athletes always raise the country's name in international competitions. For that reason, the Peruvian Institute of Sport decided to reward them with sporting laurels in a ceremony held this Friday at the north esplanade of the National Stadium.

On this occasion, the IPD decided to recognize 10 athletes for their excellent performances. In this regard, César Bauer received this distinction for winning the silver medal in the Dropnkee category at the Isa World Bodyboard Championship.

Similarly, the entity awarded laurels to Benolt Clemente for second place at the Isa World Longboard Surfing Championship 2018. Likewise, Lucca Messinas was also honored after winning the bronze medal at the Isa World Surfing Games 2018.

Oswaldo Palomino became another of the recognized athletes for winning the silver medal at the 2019 World Bowls Championship, while Carmen Poveda entered this select list by conquering first place at the BWF ParaBadminton World Championships 2019.

Similarly, the IPD honored Leonor Espinoza and Eduardo Linares for winning gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and the 2018 World Rowing Coastal Championship, respectively. In addition, Natalia Cuglievan was awarded after her second place at the IWWF World Water Ski Championship 2019.

On the other hand, Alexandra Grande was recognized for winning the bronze medal at the 2021 25 WKF Senior World Championship. Meanwhile, Kimberly García, who finished in third place at the 2022 World Athletics Walking Championships, also received this award.
