Peru will face Bolivia in the play-offs of Group I of the Davis Cup, as determined by the draw held on Sunday in Madrid. The match is scheduled from March 4 to 6 next year.
On this occasion, the Peruvian tennis team will host Bolivia in our capital. The last time both countries faced each other, the highlanders were the hosts.
It is expected that by March, the Peruvian team will be able to count on the number 1 racket, Juan Pablo Varillas, who missed the crucial knockout stage of Group I of the Davis Cup against Romania due to injury (fractured rib). Peru was eliminated by 4-0 in that stage.
The last time Peruvians and Bolivians faced each other was in February 2018 at Club Tenis La Paz. The result was 4-1 in favor of the national team that played away from home. This time, the Peruvian representative will seek to repeat the feat at home to remain in the World Group I zone of the Davis Cup.
