The Zenit of Russia Takes to the Field with Dogs from Local Shelters
The Zenit of Russia, like some other teams around the world, took to the field for their match against Rostov carrying 11 canines from a local shelter who are looking for someone to adopt them, hoping that person is among the audience.
"The Zenit players took to the pitch at the Gazprom Arena this evening accompanied by dogs from local shelters looking for a new home," wrote the Russian team's Twitter account.

In the video shared by the club, players such as Claudinho (gold medalist in Tokyo 2020), Malcom (former Barcelona player), and Artem Dzyuba (historic forward for the Russian national team), among others, can be seen.
The Zenit's action was well received by fans, who thanked the gesture in the comments on social media, and there were even those who claimed they became fans thanks to the club's act for the animals.
