Peruvian national team raised its level and obtained six more valuable points to continue in the race towards the 2022 Qatar World Cup. However, a Mexican journalist claimed that a few weeks ago, the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) contacted the current coach of Cruz Azul, Juan Reynoso.
"From a conversation I had with Juan Reynoso, I learned that the Peruvian national team approached him about three matchdays ago when things were not going well. But the situation did not progress further, there was no direct offer," said Carlos Córdova, a journalist from Televisa.
"Juan Reynoso commented that his desire is to coach the Peruvian national team. If an offer from Europe comes in the future, he would consider it. But his priority is the national team. He wants to start a project from the beginning with the Blanquirroja," he added.
