The main novelty in Ricardo Gareca's call-up list, broke down upon learning of his call-up to the Peruvian national team. The reaction of the Deportivo Municipal midfielder was captured on video and shared by Jorge Solari through his Twitter account.
In the images, you can see the 24-year-old footballer in an emotional embrace with his mother, who dedicates a few words to him: "Deserved God waits but never forgets, son. We are all proud. Everyone has called and sending greetings".
David Dioses, who in 2012 played in the district league of Carmen de la Legua and four years later made his debut in the First Division with the Unión Comercio shirt, narrated in an interview with Rpp how he found out about his call-up to the national team.
"We were training and we were talking with the coaches and my teammates. Some already knew, I didn't, and when I approached them, they showered me with hydrants. They told me I was called up and I couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe it", he said.
"I cried, really. I cried with emotion, I think it's the day-to-day work, personal care during this pandemic. Thanks to my family who took good care of me and it's the team's work, I thank 'Chino' Rivera for reaching this great club and I owe it all to them. I will take advantage of giving everything for my dream, which is to reach the national team," added David Dioses, who said he admires Yoshimar Yotún.
