The President of Deportivo Llacuabamba, Hernán Saavedra, believes that the League 1 should not resume due to the pandemic and State of Emergency caused by Covid-19. However, the leader stated that they will respect the decision made by the majority of clubs.
"We support soccer because we like it and it entertains people, not because it is profitable and we make a lot of money. That's why I believe that in this situation of the pandemic, soccer should not return. And I say this because soccer is passion and people want to cheer for their teams, and now they can't. In addition, there are more and more infected people and the number of deaths is increasing," Saavedra said on the program 'Negrini lo Sabe'.
The executive also commented on the economic difficulties faced by the team from La Libertad due to the lack of television rights acquisition.
"Our legal advisor is handling this issue with the Federation, however, I can tell you that it is going well and we hope to close this agreement very soon. We are calm and we believe in the good faith of all parties," he concluded.
