Paco López opts for a neutral field if Levante UD cannot play at home
The coach of Levante UD, Paco López, explained on Thursday that if they cannot play the six LaLiga matches remaining as home games at Ciutat de València, where the installation of a new roof is planned, he prefers to do it on a neutral field and not on the opponent's playing field, Mestalla.
"I hope, wish, and believe that it will be like that and we will not play the matches that we have as home games on the opponent's field. In the event that we cannot play in our stadium, we will do it on a neutral field," said Paco López at a press conference.
Levante must decide imminently whether to stop the works at Ciutat de València in order to play the six remaining home matches or to proceed with the installation of the new roof and play in another field.
The opponents who have yet to visit Ciutat de València in the remaining eleven matchdays of the championship are Sevilla, Atlético de Madrid, Betis, Real Sociedad, Athletic de Bilbao, and Getafe.
