Alianza Lima is one of the teams that reinforced the most in this season for the Liga 1, however, their debut in the tournament did not have the expected result, despite starting as locals. They lost 2-3 against Alianza Universidad, a team that has already complicated the blanquiazules in previous occasions.
In 2019, the team from Huánuco won 2-1 at the Heraclio Tapia Stadium and when they faced each other at Matute, they drew 1-1, in a match where they were also close to obtaining the victory. In those three matches, Jack Durán was present, who had previously played in the youth divisions of Alianza Lima. His coach, Rony Revollar, did not hesitate to praise him.
"Durán always plays well, he is a player who performs consistently, I have never seen him have a bad game. Yesterday was no exception," said the coach in an interview with Radio Ovación.
In addition, Revollar highlighted the characteristics of the 28-year-old midfielder and compared them with the qualities of Christian Cueva.
"Christian is another genius, but they have different playing styles and I believe that Durán is more direct, daring, and fast. Christian is more intelligent, technical, and composed. They are different players. Jack doesn't rely much on 'tiki-taka', but rather on one-on-one situations," explained Revollar.
After their victory against Alianza Lima, the team from Huánuco will face Carlos Stein in the second round of the Liga 1 at the Heraclio Tapia Stadium.
