Klopp's contract extension: "This magnificent club, I would not even contemplate leaving"
Klopp has spent four years at Liverpool, after arriving in 2015, in which his greatest achievement was winning last season's Champions League at the Wanda Metropolitano against Tottenham Hotspur.
In addition, he guided Liverpool to second place in the Premier League, behind Manchester City, in a championship decided by just one point of difference.
This year, Liverpool is dominating the Premier League with a clear lead of six points over Leicester City and fourteen points over Manchester City.
"When Liverpool called me in the autumn of 2015, I felt that we were perfect for each other. Only with the feeling that this collaboration is completely complementary for both parties am I able to sign this commitment until 2024," explained the German in statements provided by the club.
"This club is magnificent, I would not even contemplate leaving," he added.
Alongside Klopp, his entire coaching staff has also renewed their contracts.
The German arrived at Liverpool on October 8, 2015, after seven seasons at Borussia Dortmund, in which he won the Bundesliga twice and reached the Champions League final in 2013.
At Liverpool, in addition to the aforementioned achievements, he reached another Champions League final, which was lost to Real Madrid, and a Europa League final, which was lost to Sevilla.
