Today marks two years since Peru's historic qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and FIFA wanted to commemorate this special moment through a publication on its official account.
"Today, two years ago, Peru defeated New Zealand, 2-0, to claim the last spot on the field," reads the publication made through the official account of this social network.
The chosen image by the FIFA World Cup page shows Aldo Corzo, Luis Advincula, and Miguel Araujo in full celebration, who were important players during the long campaign of the Peruvian national team in the tournament.
This post recalls that special night on November 15, 2017, when Peru qualified for a World Cup again after 36 years.
