The cancellation of the friendly match between the Peruvian National Team and Chile provoked a strong discussion between Flavio Maestri and Eddie Fleishman, who are part of the panel of Fox Sports Peru.
In this regard, Fleishman gave his point of view on why the friendly match that was to be held on November 19 at the National Stadium should not have been suspended. "Violence is not the way in any democracy... There is a social contract called the constitution. There is a rule of law, there is a legal procedure. Read and see because you are misinformed," said Fleishman, who is against the protests in Chile amidst the political and social crisis.
However, the response from the former player of the University of Chile did not take long to arrive. "Don't blame the Chilean. There are always infiltrators in a protest. Protests serve to achieve something. People go out to demand what is fair. You can't go out one day and then go back to your house. You spoke for half an hour and someone else wants to speak for ten minutes," he said.
Maestri added: "There is no violence, you're generalizing and saying that there is vandalism. You will understand this when you earn the minimum wage."
The heated debate continued with Eddie Fleishman's response: "This is not about earning the minimum wage, you are mistaken, it is a matter that affects everyone, read because you need to get informed," he pointed out.
Alan Diez, who is the moderator of the program, put an end to the exchange of words between Fleishman and Maestri.
