The Albirroja U17 started with the dream of the World Cup.

The Paraguayan Under 17 National Team embarked on a journey to Brazil to participate in the U17 World Cup with the hope of having a great championship.

This Thursday, the Paraguayan U17 National Team flew to Brazil, the venue of the U17 World Cup, with the complete squad of players selected by coach Gustavo Morínigo.

The Paraguayan delegation will train during the competition at the Abadião stadium in the city of Brasilia, and the first practice is scheduled for this Friday at 16:00.

The Albirroja is part of Group F along with Italy, Mexico, and the Solomon Islands. The debut will take place on Monday at 20:00 at the Bezerrao stadium in the city of Gama, Brasilia, against the strongest opponent in the group, the Mexican national team, the category's champion in 2005 and 2011.

The players who will represent the Paraguayan U17 National Team are as follows:

Goalkeepers: Antonio González (Cerro Porteño), Ángel González (Libertad), and Diego Aranda (Sol de América).

Defenders: Rodrigo Melgarejo (Deportivo Capiatá), Basilio Duarte (Cerro Porteño), Gastón Benítez (Nacional), Rolando Ortiz (Olimpia), Ulises González (Deportivo Capiatá), Santiago Ocampos (Juventus - Italy), and Fabio Ramos (Olimpia).

Midfielders: Wilder Viera (Cerro Porteño), Diego Torres (Olimpia), Júnior Quiñónez (Libertad), Fabrizio Peralta (Cerro Porteño), Rodrigo López (Libertad), Matías Segovia (Guaraní), Fernando Ovelar (Cerro Porteño), and Júnior Noguera (Cerro Porteño).

Forwards: Diego Duarte (Olimpia), Fernando Presentado (River Plate), and Diego Acosta (Libertad).

Coach: Gustavo Morínigo.
