Avengers: Endgame left theaters, but it is still on everyone's lips. Recently, Disney revealed the list of academy awards that they are seeking with the Avengers movie. Without a doubt, it is the company's flagship, at least until the release of Star Wars.
Unfortunately, Disney did not place Robert Downey Jr. in the Best Actor category, as the fans wanted. For this reason, the community created a petition on Change.org to modify the website.
In a radio interview with the well-known Howard Stern, it was told that his performance was excellent because he gave a lot of credibility to the character of Tony Stark and that he deserved to be nominated.
"I appreciate you mentioning this because it was talked about and what I said is 'Don't do it'", replied Downey Jr. In turn, the actor referred to the controversy created by director Martin Scorsese's saying that the Avengers are simply not cinema.
"I appreciate his opinion because, as with everything, we need different perspectives so that we can go back to the center and move forward", concluded the actor from Avengers: Endgame.
