It's your moment
As almost always, Raúl Ruidíaz arrives in good form to the Peruvian national team. The forward, who is expected to transfer his current form from Seattle Sounders to the national team and be the replacement for Paolo Guerrero against Ecuador and Brazil, hopes to score in these matches.
"I have been playing and scoring goals for three matches, that fills me with a lot of confidence. Now we are going to think about what is to come, because we want to win. The Peruvian national team always has open doors for everyone, there are some who are arriving for the first time and we will always provide confidence for them to have a good performance," he said.
The last time Ruidíaz scored with Peru
On Thursday against Ecuador, the 'Pulga' will step on the field of the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey, where he scored his last goal with the national team in the 3-1 victory against Iceland, prior to the 2018 World Cup.
In that match, the forward scored the second goal at minute 58, taking advantage of a pass from Jefferson Farfán.
Raúl Ruidíaz hopes to score again in this stadium and make it clear that he can be the starting forward for Ricardo Gareca's team.
"I hope the goal keeps opening up for me, to be able to bring joy to the people. Wherever we go, we are at home, and feeling the love of all Peruvians fills us with energy," said the attacker.
