This week's WWE SmackDown took place at the Raising Cane's River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and had Randy Orton, Ali, Drake Maverick, and Roman Reigns as the main protagonists.
At the start of the show, Randy Orton brutally attacked Kofi Kingston backstage. The 'Viper' left him unconscious after hitting him with a DDT onto the mat. Later on, with the help of The Revival, Orton was able to defeat Big E.
On the other hand, Ali and Chad Gable advanced in the King of the Ring tournament after defeating Buddy Murphy and Shelton Benjamin, respectively. With this, Ali will face Elias and Gable will face Andrade in the next rounds.
Additionally, Drake Maverick became the 24/7 Champion for the fifth time after taking advantage of Elias being down in the ring. Just moments before, Maverick had been attacked by Kevin Owens and hit with a 'Stunner'.
WWE SmackDown ended with the revelation that Rowan was the mysterious attacker of Roman Reigns two weeks ago. After learning the news, Reigns attacked Daniel Bryan with a 'Spear'.

This week's WWE SmackDown Live will take place on Tuesday, August 28 at the Raising Cane's River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The broadcast will be handled by FOX Sports 3 starting at 7:00 p.m. (Peruvian time).
In this blue show, the King of the Ring tournament will continue with the last two matches of the first round. In the first match, Ali will face a motivated Buddy Murphy; while in the second match, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin will square off.
Roman Reigns will also be present to talk about the person who has been attacking him. Daniel Bryan and Rowan showed him a possible attacker last week, but the 'Big Dog' was not convinced. What will he say now?
Also, Randy Orton, who was attacked by Kofi Kingston in the last blue show, is expected to react. Orton is not one to stay silent, so it is very likely that he is planning something for SmackDown Live.
Lastly, Bayley and Charlotte Flair will continue to heat up their upcoming match at Clash of Champions 2019. Last week, the 'Hugger' pushed 'The Queen' off her chair. How will Charlotte respond?
