The Peruvian national team prepares for friendly matches in September

The Peruvian national team is getting ready to play its friendly matches in September against Ecuador and Brazil. Therefore, the coach of the national team faced a dilemma about whether to call up Christian Cueva or not due to his absence in the starting lineup of Santos.

In response to this, the former coach of the Peruvian national team, Miguel Company, commented on the issue and criticized the Peruvian midfielder for his current situation at Santos. "He doesn't have a good emotional balance. He's not the only player that has gone through that, he is responsible for it," said the ex-coach in GOLPERÚ.

In addition, Company added that Cueva arrives in Peru and is always welcomed in the national team. "He comes here and is embraced by the national team. It's true, he produces, but he has to do the same outside," the coach pointed out. Lastly, Company mentioned that the clubs that Christian Cueva has joined are important teams and he must maintain the level.

"They are important clubs and he must produce what he does here with the national team. That depends on the player himself, lack of seriousness or responsibility, I don't know, I only know him for what he plays in the national team," Company concluded.
