Peru reaches another final. On the fifteenth day of competition, rower Gonzalo Del Solar achieved third place in the men's A/B 1 semifinal of the short rowing and qualified for Saturday's grand final, where he will compete for the gold medal in the Pan American Games Lima 2019.

With a total time of 7:17.04, just 17 seconds behind the first place in his round, the Peruvian placed third in the series, securing his spot in the final. In these semifinal series, the top three times qualify for the highly anticipated final.

The first in the series was the Cuban Ángel Fournier, who finished with a time of 7:00.04 ahead of second place, the Mexican Juan Carlos Cabrera with 7:07.73. All of them advanced to the final series that will take place on Saturday, August 10 starting at 9:50 a.m.

This rowing event takes place at Albufera Medio Mundo, in Huacho, north of Lima. This A Final series includes Argentine Brian Rosso, Paraguayan Javier Insfrán, Cuban Ángel Fournier, American Lucas Bellows, Mexican Juan Carlos Cabrera, and Peruvian Gonzalo Del Solar.
