Peruvian long-distance runner Cristhian Pacheco wins gold at the Pan American Games Lima 2019

Peruvian long-distance runner Cristhian Pacheco won the gold medal at the Pan American Games Lima 2019. He asked congresswoman Luz Salgado not to use his victory to promote the new president of the Congress, Pedro Olaechea.

"When a person hangs on to someone else's achievement, it reflects on that person... Everyone should shine on their own and not cling to others", said the national athlete to Perú21.

Let's remember that Luz Salgado, a parliamentarian from Fuerza Popular, posted on her Twitter account an edited photo of Cristhian Pacheco at the moment he won the gold medal, but with the face of Pedro Olaechea.
