Shawn Michaels is a historic wrestler for WWE. He continues to work for the company, specifically in NXT, where he is responsible for shaping and transmitting his knowledge to the new superstars of the yellow brand. But officially he is retired.
However, in November of last year, Michaels and Triple H fought and defeated The Undertaker and Kane at WWE Crown Jewel, an event held in Saudi Arabia. That's why he was recently interviewed on The Two Man Power Trip and asked if he would return to the ring again.
"I'm not going to return. I leave that to the younger generations, who are doing a magnificent job. I'm fine with what I've done and completely retired," declared one of the founders of D-Generation X.
Michaels has also stated that he does not consider his match in Saudi Arabia to be a comeback. He made it clear a few weeks ago in an interview on the Challenge Mania podcast. "I'm not sorry for wrestling there. It wasn't a return as The Heartbreak Kid (HBK), it was a tag team match. It was like a glorified house show. I don't want to insult the wrestling fan's intelligence, but one thing is not the same as the other," he said.
