Cat-like reflexes

Hugo Lloris had a spectacular intervention in the goal of the French National Team and prevented Uruguay from equalizing, after a header from Martín Cáceres, who had joined in a favorable set-piece for the South Americans.

The play happened around the 44th minute of the first half, after the 'charrúa' attempt to equalize through a well-executed free kick by Lucas Torreira, who sent a perfect cross to the head of the Uruguayan '22', who couldn't beat the opposing goalkeeper.

Set pieces have been a determining factor in the first quarter-final match of the 2018 Russia World Cup and, precisely, it was through that method that the (so far) only goal of the match was scored by Raphael Varane.

Uruguay is missing one of their top scorers, Edinson Cavani, due to injury, but they will try by all means to reverse the result and continue with their World Cup dream under the guidance of coach Óscar Washington Tabárez.
