The French national team continues to impress in the World Cup 2018

France's national team is a strong candidate to win the 2018 World Cup and today they proved it once again.

In an intense match from start to finish, they defeated Uruguay 2-0 this morning and advanced to the semifinals of the tournament. Raphael Varane (40') and Antoine Griezmann (61') were the heroes of the day by scoring the goals.

The Uruguayan team bid farewell to the World Cup in tears. One of the most memorable moments was the crying of Jiménez, the Uruguayan defender, after a late French free kick. Also, the embrace between Edinson Cavani and Luis Suárez.

The victorious French team will now face Belgium. The 'Red Devils' defeated Brazil, the last Latin American team, 2-0.
