The Mexican Selection in Trouble
The Mexican selection did not have the expected start in the match they are playing against Sweden on the third matchday of Group F in the Russia 2018 World Cup. The 'Tri' is looking to secure their spot in the round of 16.
Even Hirving Lozano, one of Mexico's main stars in Russia 2018, was close to being injured after a tough tackle from Sebastian Larsson.
After a long kick from Guillermo Ochoa and a couple of headers, 'Chicharito' Hernandez tried to control the ball with his head, but the ball ended up being contested. That's when 'Chucky' Lozano went to fight for the ball with Larsson.
However, the Swedish player made a reckless tackle, hitting Lozano's knee forcefully. Lozano had reached the ball first.
Despite the protest from the Mexican players, the Argentine referee Néstor Pitana decided to only give Larsson a yellow card for the disqualifying tackle. And a few minutes later, Lozano continued playing without difficulties.
