Minutes before 9 pm (Peruvian time) this Wednesday, the Scotland national team arrived in Lima to play a friendly match against Peru next week.
The European delegation, led by coach Alex McLeish, left Jorge Chavez airport without much commotion on their way to their concentration hotel.
The Peru vs Scotland match will be played next Tuesday, May 29, starting at 8 pm at the National Stadium in Lima in a match that will mark the farewell of the Blanquirroja (Peruvian national team).
The day after the match with Scotland, Ricardo Gareca's team will travel to the Old Continent to play friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Sweden before starting their participation in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
With an almost complete group, Ricardo Gareca continues training at Videna. The only one missing from the list of called-up players is Miguel Trauco, who plays for Flamengo and this week will be playing the Copa Libertadores against River Plate in Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.
It should be noted that Peru is in Group C and will debut against Denmark on June 16 in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. On June 21, they will face France, and finally, they will close the group stage against Australia on June 25.
