Jorge Sampaoli, Argentina's coach, announced the final list of 23 players who will be with the national team in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, in which Nahuel Guzmán did not enter.
The Tigres goalkeeper had been named in the preliminary list of 28 players, which was announced last week; however, in the final cut made by Sampaoli, Guzmán ended up being left out for Franco Armani, the current River Plate goalkeeper. The other two goalkeepers on the list are Sergio Romero from Manchester United and Willy Caballero from Chelsea.
In addition, Mauro Icardi's absence was another absence that also caught attention in Argentina's final squad for the World Cup, where, in the end, the list of attackers was left for Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuaín, Paulo Dybala, and Sergio Agüero.
