Alberto Rodríguez is one of the players who generate concern in the Peruvian National Team thinking about Russia 2018. The defender has had very little continuity in Junior de Barranquilla due to his constant injuries. However, the coach of the Colombian club calmed down the situation of the player in an exclusive interview with RPP Noticias.
"He is not injured in any football issue, he had a pain in his waist. Today he was in condition to train and play football, but we chose to leave him with the medical staff," said Julio Comesaña, coach of Junior de Barranquilla. "Today he has no muscle injury, he is perfectly fine," he emphasized.
Aside from this diagnosis, in Barranquilla they are dissatisfied with the little continuity of the defender. "He has played very few matches since he came here, there is a lot of concern in the club," he explained.
Similarly, Julio Comesaña did not overlook the issue of the Russia 2018 World Cup and what it could provoke in Alberto Rodríguez. "Alberto is a silent and calm man. I don't know what's going through his head. We will take care of him, tomorrow he will join the trainings," he concluded.
