After participating in the kick boxing championship, called Bolivariano in Ayacucho (Peru), the missionary Fernando Noguera won two gold medals and one bronze. The teacher from Brutal Team academy represents the province of Misiones in the Argentinian kick boxing team.

In this way, the competitor won the gold medals in the kick light and low kick categories -up to 71 kilos-. While, the bronze medal was obtained in the low kick category -up to 75 kilos-. In all three occasions, he faced Peruvian fighters. In addition, he received the certification to work as an international judge from the master and general secretary of WAKO PANAM (World Association of Kickboxing Organizations Panamerican Region), Darío Alvarado.

Argentina was the second team to win the most medals. In total, they won 32 medals, of which 20 were gold, 8 silver, and 4 bronze. In addition, they won two belts in the 3rd Bolivarian Championship, which were won by Oscar Bernardi - in the low kick category- and Emmanuel Maciel - in the K category-.

Regarding the fights, Noguera commented: "The fights were very tough, besides the opponents were very experienced and there was international friction".

The Argentinian competitors arrived in Peru several days before the competition, with the intention of getting used to the place.

At this point, the missionary said: "since we arrived we felt the altitude. It was very difficult for us to adapt".

At the same time, he insisted that "I think that to fight in places like this, you have to train much more".

He also recognized that each member of the team contributed to the tournament. "Coming second in the medal table with only 17 competitors is a great achievement, the host had 79 competitors".

In his preparation for the competition, the missionary had doubled his efforts, as he trained two or three shifts at his colleague's gym, Máximo Zacarías. And in terms of nutrition, he was advised by nutritionist Manuela Koczy.

Once the first objective is accomplished, he will now begin to focus on the Copa Sudamericana, which will be held in Paraguay, and the Pan American Championship in Cancun; he has already qualified for both after achieving the necessary score in the Open held in Mar del Plata last February.
