Goodbye in Monte Carlo

Goodbye in Monte Carlo.

Goodbye in Monte Carlo.

The participation of Mexican tennis in the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 was brief, as it only had the representation of Santiago González in doubles, who ended up falling in the first round of the tournament endorsed by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

The Córdoba tennis player Santiago González and the Japanese Ben McLachlan fell in the first round of doubles at the Monte Carlo Open against the pair formed by the Frenchman Hugo Nys and the Polish Romain Arneodo, by scores of 6-4 and 7-6 (7/2).

González's brief participation in doubles was due to the little coordination that he and his Japanese partner showed on the clay court, where, victims of their own errors, they easily lost the first set.

For the second set, Nys and Arneodo came out somewhat confident, so the pair formed by González and McLachlan played a decent match, forcing the tiebreak.
