Ana Cecilia Carrillo, popularly known as 'Anacé', is a living legend of Peruvian volleyball who is not being respected as such by the Peruvian Institute of Sport (IPD). According to the former volleyball player, the institution has not recognized her labor benefits to this day. "I'm being passed from office to office," she accused.

In a post she shared privately on Facebook, but was shared by several of her followers, 'Anacé' Carrillo denounced that the IPD is not honoring a debt related to the payment of her labor benefits.

"Friends of Facebook: unfortunately there are people in the IPD who are only there to warm seats and do not fulfill their duties. In April of last year, I completed 41 years of service and until now they have not paid me what I am entitled to as a worker," wrote the respected athlete.

"I'm being passed from office to office and they don't do anything. Since I'm not a congresswoman or a former congresswoman, and I don't suck up to anyone, they don't care about me. I ask the head of the IPD: is this inept group of people the ones you have at the IPD who don't care about the athletes who gave everything for our country and mistreat us like this? I am not asking for alms. I am asking for a right that belongs to me," 'Anacé' adds.

Let the IPD speak up

Messages of solidarity quickly arrived for Ana Cecilia Carrillo, some of which were responded to by the former volleyball player. Users also demanded that the head of the IPD, Óscar Fernández, take action in this matter.
