The fight for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship between The Usos and The New Day, which took place recently at Fastlane, was on its way to becoming a classic, just like their previous matches. The rivalry had been heated enough to attract the attention of the fans. However, the end of the match turned this contest into something different from what had been seen before.
In the midst of the feast of superkicks and dives over the top rope, The Bludgeon Brothers, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, stormed into the match to mercilessly attack both the contenders and the champions. Thus, the match ended in disqualification.
But despite the bell giving official closure to the match, neither Harper nor Rowan stopped with the violent attacks. In fact, they used their entire arsenal to destroy The New Day and The Usos, including ladders, barricades, and even their hammers.
The doctors had to attend to the wrestlers (or what was left of them). Surely this will be further developed in the next edition of SmackDown. But for now, you can follow what happens at Fastlane in our coverage.
