Morning of Records at the Guadalajara International Half Marathon
A total of 13,125 athletes gathered at the Minerva Roundabout to start at 7:00 am.
In the men's category, Kenyan John Nzau Nwangangi set a new record with a time of 1 hour, 3 minutes and 49 seconds.
On the other hand, Kenyan Diana Chemtai Kipyokei established a new record in the women's category with a time of 1 hour and 10 seconds.
The top Mexican finishers were Jesús Armando Torres Barrón and Madai Pérez Carrillo with times of 1 hour, 5 minutes and 16 seconds, and 1 hour, 13 minutes and 31 seconds, respectively. Torres Barrón finished fifth overall, while Pérez Carrillo came in seventh in the women's category.
