Pilar Rubio Gómez, the mother of Colombian footballer James Rodríguez, reported on Wednesday that she was robbed at a restaurant in Bogotá, where thieves stole her purse.
"I was a victim of theft. On Sunday, my purse was stolen at a restaurant and the cameras conveniently malfunctioned since 12:30, the time I arrived at the place. Strange, isn't it?" Rubio wrote on her Twitter account.

After the robbery, she stated that in Bogotá, specifically, and in Colombia, in general, there is a "frightening insecurity" where "every day" there are "robberies and violations".
In recent days, several cases have highlighted the insecurity in Bogotá, such as the shooting of a pregnant woman to steal her car inside her garage or the murder of a minor to steal his bicycle. EFE
