The winner of the 1992 Royal Rumble, Ric Flair, has made his predictions about the Superstars who will win the Royal Rumble Matches this year, both the women's and men's.
The WWE Hall of Famer recently spoke in an interview with journalist Jefferson Lake for Sky Sports from England and these are his statements:
- About winning the 1992 Royal Rumble entering as number three:
Ric Flair: "What made it special was, number one: That I didn't know I was going to win it. And number two: That I had just left WCW in Atlanta, Georgia and didn't have confidence in myself. I can't understand how Jim Herd [WCW Executive] couldn't see who I was, he didn't understand."
"I went from Atlanta to Albany, New York and my life changed in one day. Literally, in one day, that's the truth. One day I was trying to figure out what I was going to do and the next day I was the champion."
- About who will win the Royal Rumble Matches in 2018:
Ric Flair: "If Charlotte Flair was in the Royal Rumble Match, no doubt my daughter would win. But since she won't be, then I'm going with Asuka. She's colorful, the fans love her, and she's like The Great Muta in woman version, with the face paint and all that, and she's very talented. All the guys who come from Japan are technically and mechanically very strong."
"When you have in mind that a large part of the focus is on the next WrestleMania, that's where I think Roman Reigns has a good opportunity. I love Roman, he's a great character and a great guy. He deserves it."
