Arda Turan could be close to returning to his home country

The president of Medipol Basaksehir in Istanbul has confirmed that he is negotiating the transfer of the Barcelona midfielder to the club he presides over.

The mentioned team is currently the leader of the Turkish league, ahead of the popular Galatasaray and Fenerbaçe. Goksel Gumusdag, president of Medipol Basaksehir, had dinner with Arda Turan on Tuesday and then visited the Barcelona offices.

Some Turkish media outlets indicate that Medipol is willing to pay 2 out of the 4 million euros requested by Barcelona for the midfielder for the entire 2018 season.

"We have carried out a series of negotiations in the possibility of Arda Turan leaving Barcelona. Last Sunday, we sent our lawyer to Barcelona to start the negotiations. He was followed by the vice president Mustafa Saral, who met with the representatives of Barcelona and the player. Personally, I also met with Arda Turan to talk to him face to face and know his opinion about our club," said Gumusdag.
