Colombian Bullfighter Found Dead in Manizales

The Colombian bullfighter Andrés de los Ríos Cardona was found dead today at his residence in the Colombian city of Manizales, according to official sources.

The 34-year-old matador was discovered lifeless in a bathroom of his home under circumstances that are still under investigation, according to the City Hall of Manizales, a city that is currently celebrating its 63rd bullfighting fair.

The deceased bullfighter, who was a prominent figure in previous editions of the fair, received the alternativa in the bullring of Manizales on January 5, 2006, from the Colombian matador César Rincón, with Spanish bullfighter Manuel Jesús Cid Sala "El Cid" as a witness.
