The Big Show's Future Plans After Retirement

At the beginning of the year and with a completely renewed physique, The Big Show surprised fans by declaring that he would retire from professional wrestling in February (when his contract expires). And now, while recovering from a hip injury, the 'giant' already has in mind what to do when he steps away from the ring in WWE.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, the former world champion revealed his desire to become a commentator. "I like that possibility. It's something I've discussed a lot with Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and JBL," said the veteran wrestler.

Although Show has welcomed this idea of being part of the commentary team, he knows that the final decision lies with the company executives. "I need to sit down with Vince McMahon and Triple H to see what they have in store for me," he added.

If this new role materializes in the future, The Big Show would emulate what Gorilla Monsoon did, a former wrestler who transitioned from the ring to the commentary booth. Monsoon was indeed part of the company's broadcasting team in the 1980s.

It's worth noting that The Big Show's last appearance was on September 4, 2017, on RAW, in a steel cage match against Braun Strowman. At the end of that match, the 'Monster Among Men' broke part of the structure with the body of the 'giant'.
