Charros de Jalisco Replace Manager Tony Tarasco

They don't want risks. After the club's poor performance in recent weeks, the management of Charros de Jalisco made the decision to thank American manager Tony Tarasco and replace him with Mexican Roberto Vizcarra, who will take charge starting tonight when they host Naranjeros de Hermosillo in Zapopan.

With the conclusion of the first round, where they could not climb further and finished in fourth place with five points, the five defeats in the first six games of the second round, and the record of 20 wins and 21 losses, it prompted the management headed by president Armando Navarro to let go of Tarasco's services. Since it is such a short tournament, they do not want to risk their spot in the playoffs, but above all, they want a team that is one hundred percent competitive in the final stretch of the season, to fight for the title that will give them a spot in the Caribbean Series, which will take place in Jalisco in 2018.

"Tony Tarasco is a tremendous person but he had never been a manager before. He lacks the experience to work in such a short and strong league. Yesterday, the management made the decision to thank Tony and we focused on finding someone with experience. Charros is aiming for the championship. We have the Caribbean Series. We are still in contention. We still have plenty of time to correct this," said president Armando Navarro on La Afición Radio.

His place will be taken by *El Chapo Vizcarra, who won the title of the Mexican Pacific League in the last edition with Águilas de Mexicali. His work was distinguished in the Caribbean Series in Culiacán 2017, being named the event's best manager, reaching the final against Puerto Rico.
