The Peruvian national team continues to celebrate. From here until Russia 2018, there will be nothing but joy in the national community. Nobody will forget what happened at the National Stadium on November 15.
The referee of the match, Frenchman Clément Turpin, also celebrated with a group of French people a day after the game that led Peru to the World Cup next year.
Laurent Marchal is one of the French people who was with Turpin. He shared a photo on Facebook and was later interviewed by Peru 21. The things he reveals about the judge are very interesting.

"They never experienced anything like this (in a stadium), with so much passion, not even in the Champions League. It's a strong contrast between Europe and South America," said Marchal.
Marchal also commented that referee Turpin apologized for not calling the penalty on Winston Reid. "Fortunately, it didn't change anything about the result and the qualification, otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to leave the stadium safely," the referee told his French compatriot.
